Ambassador Guo Shaochun Gives Lecture in
Zimbabwe Staff College

On April 23rd, Ambassador Guo was invited to lecture in the Zimbabwe Staff College (ZSC) on the topic of China-Africa relations. After the lecture, he visited the library, classrooms and broadcasting center of the College. Assistant military officer Yang Zhouwu accompanied the Ambassador to these events.

Ambassador Guo elaborated on the history of China-Africa relations, China's policy towards Africa and China-Africa cooperation. He also elaborated on the Xi Jinping thought on diplomacy of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. He summarized the experience and prospect of China-Africa and China-Zimbabwe relations, and refuted the remarks that smeared China-Africa cooperation. Then he interacted with the participants and answered questions about reforms of the UN Security Council, China-Africa ties, China-Zimbabwe relations, and China's policy towards Africa.

Brigadier General Kudumba, Commandant of the ZSC, said Ambassador Guo's lecture covered a large range of topics and was very informative. Through the lecture, the participants got a full understanding of the unremitting efforts and great achievements the Chinese government and its people had made for Africa's development.

The participants said that they were all inspired by this lecture and gained a lot of knowledge. They would like to have more opportunities to attend such lectures in the future.
