2023-06-01 10:30

On May 30th, 2023, China’s Shenzhou-16 manned spacecraft was successfully launched, sending to the China space station three taikonauts, Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu and Gui Haichao, who would spend six months in space. A connect event with these taikonauts as well as the award ceremony of “My Dream” painting competition for African Youth will be held around September this year. During the events, the taikonauts will talk with youths from African countries and exhibit the 10 first-prize works (including one from Zimbabwe) of the competition in China Space Station.

Now, youths from African countries are offered an opportunity to raise questions for the preparation of the event. Zimbabwean youths are warmly welcomed to join the event and send their questions to the embassy via email: chinaemb_zw@mfa.gov.cn with the title “African Dreams of Flying to Space” by June 25th, 2023. Let’s look forward to this wonderful event!
