On August 8 and 7, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who was in the DPRK for a visit, held talks with Kang Sok Ju, first Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Kim Yong Il, Vice Foreign Minister. The two sides held an all-round and in-depth discussion on the current DPRK nuclear issue and the upcoming six-party Beijing talks. The two sides hope that the six-party Beijing talks will open the prospects for a peaceful solution to the DPRK nuclear issue through dialogue.
